They help shake it up and give us more choices, (as if we don’t have enough fabulous ones already)! Albany keeps bringing in more local businesses for us to enjoy, and although my wallet isn’t particularly happy about this development, I know I am! Christmas and Cheer at Chehaw

In Albany, this means that snowflakes, reindeer and, of course, Christmas lights are taking over the city (not that we’re complaining!). One place that is getting into the Holiday spirit is Chehaw Park. Chehaw will be hosting a Holiday Market and Bike Night on November 30 to kick off the holidays here in Albany. Throughout December, Chehaw also plays host to the Festival of Lights, a tradition that allows families, as they drive through the park, to take in the breathtaking beauty of Christmas lights hung throughout Chehaw. Reel in Aquatic Adventure on Albany, Georgia’s Flint River

After two years of construction and preparation, the public launch is finally ready for paddlers to take to the water and experience Albany’s natural resource in a new way. You’re welcome to bring your own canoe or kayak, or rent one from Kayak Attack Adventure at 229-669-1259. Kayak Attack will deliver the equipment to your desired drop in point. Once you’re finished, give them a call and they will pick you up. Guided trips and private lessons are also offered. Traveling with younger children? Two person kayaks are available for rent as well.
