Every perfect fall day starts off with a bit of pumpkin spice! Head over to Morning Cafe, a family-operated coffee shop, for a delicious seasonal sip, whether it's one of their classic pumpkin spice lattes or a specialty creme brulee latte. They also have a great selection of homemade pastries, like fluffy cinnamon rolls that will go great with your morning java.

If you’re looking for a spot that’s located in our beautiful downtown area, Cornerstone Coffee + Co is a great place to visit. This veteran-owned coffee shop offers incredible chia lattes and espresso-based drinks like their pumpkin latte with brown sugar spiced cold foam! Talk about a delicious way to start your day. They also have a great food selection from breakfast sandwiches to baked goods.

Seasonal Activities to Explore

After grabbing your seasonal drink, get into pumpkin-spice vibes with a trip over to Mark’s Melon Patch! Located just outside of Albany, this local farm has something for everyone to enjoy on Saturdays and Sundays. For activities, families can enjoy pumpkin painting, a corn maze, pumpkin bowling, duck races, face painting, a spooky barn hay maze and so much more! They even offer pumpkin picking so you can take home the perfect one to turn into a jack-o-lantern.

If you’re visiting on the first Friday of the month, make sure to check out Fridays on the Flint. Held at the Veterans Park Amphitheater, you and the whole family can enjoy live music by local artists, fall-themed activities including hayrides and carnival games, arts and crafts, and festive vendors. Visitors who are 21+ can also enjoy a Beer & Wine Sample Bar for only $2. It’s held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the first Friday of every month until December with free admission.

In the mood for something spooky but still family-friendly? Boo at the Zoo is back at the Chehaw Park & Zoo for another year of fun! This annual Halloween event is on Saturday, October 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a schedule of spooky enrichments and Zookeeper chats! From Halloween animal enrichment and games to prizes and candy, there’s so much to experience at this beloved event. Tickets are $15 for adults, $9 for kids and free for children under the age of three.
