Georgia's First Girl Scout DreamLab

Behind the cookie booths and cheerful smiles lies a powerful mission: empowering girls through adventure, community service, leadership development, and skill-building. These activities help girls grow their courage, confidence, and character, all with the shared goal of making the world a better place.
That mission took an exciting step forward right here in Albany, Georgia. The Walmart Supercenter on Ledo Road recently unveiled the state’s first-ever Girl Scout DreamLab. Not only is it a first for Georgia, but it’s also the very first DreamLab in the entire nation to be housed inside a retail environment. And with 2.6 million visitors passing through this Walmart each year, the DreamLab is perfectly positioned to inspire countless young minds.
So, what exactly is a DreamLab? It’s a dynamic, hands-on learning space where Girl Scouts can take what they’ve learned to the next level. From performing science experiments to playing interactive games and engaging in physical coding activities, the DreamLab is a hub of creativity and discovery. It even features a private podcast room where girls can produce their own shows, amplifying their voices and sharing their ideas with the world.
But here’s the best part: you do not have to be a Girl Scout to experience the DreamLab! This welcoming space is open to all girls, offering opportunities to learn, explore, and dream big. Whether it’s schoolwork, personal projects, or skill-building activities, the DreamLab is designed to be a place where girls can focus, collaborate, and grow.
