In the early 1960’s a small group of young students from Albany, Ga., used their voices to advance the Civil Rights movement. 50 years later, the surviving member has mentored a new crop of Freedom Singers using the iconic songs that rallied a nation to end the injustices of inequality.
Saturday, Feb. 8, the Freedom Singers are going to have a concert at the Albany Civil Rights Institute that is free with admission and to members of the ACRI. You won’t want to miss this truly amazing cultural experience.
