Stay Cool in Albany Challenge

Summer has officially arrived in Albany, Georgia! If you're looking for a way to make the most of the season without overheating from Georgia’s hot temps, check out our Stay Cool in Albany challenge! From indulging in cold desserts to exploring indoor attractions and entertainment options, you’ll feel completely refreshed once you’ve completed all the stops.

The Stay Cool in Albany challenge kicks off on June 1 and ends on July 31 so you have all summer long to participate! It features 12 cool locations within 3 different categories that you can earn one point for visiting. Points can only be earned with photo proof of your treat or activity from each location.

12 spots:

Cool treats – Rita’s Italian Ice, TCBY, Cool Scoops, Freeze Frozen Yogurt

Cool attractions – Chehaw Splash Pad, Riverquarium visit, Planetarium show, Civil Rights visit

Cool entertainment – Race to Escape, Up 2 U Entertainment, Fun Park, AMC Albany Movie Theater

After you reach 6 points, you can submit your information and photo proof to our Google form to win a small prize of a Visit Albany cup with branded sunglasses and sunscreen and be entered to win the grand prize! The small prize is limited to one per person. If you visit more than 6 spots, each additional point will earn you additional entries into the drawing for the grand prize, which is a $75 gift card, and a Visit Albany swag bag of merch. Visiting more places can gain you up to 6 additional entries if you visit all 12 spots! The drawing for the grand prize will take place on July 31/ August 1.
