ALBANY — “War Room,” the first film to be released through Kendrick Brothers Productions, debuts on DVD and Blu-Ray on Dec. 22.
The movie will be available in the Christian bookstore market on Blu-Ray and DVD from Provident Films and Provident Distribution. Officials said church site licenses were made available for pre-purchase beginning Monday, and shipping is set to begin Dec. 8. The products available will be the Collector’s Edition DVD and the Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Pack, both including special content only available in Christian bookstores.
The Collector’s Edition will include outtakes, the “Warrior” music video by Steven Curtis Chapman and “The Art of Jumping Rope” featurette. Bonus materials also include deleted scenes, commentary from Stephen Kendrick and Alex Kendrick and “behind-the-scenes” featurettes, such as “The Making of War Room,” “The Heart of War Room,” “Modern Day Miss Clara,” “From Auditioning to Acting,” “Investing in the Next Generation,” “War Room in 60 Seconds,” “The Church On Its Knees,” “Behind the Scenes: Color Grading,” “A Pastor’s Call to Prayer.”
Exclusive features on products available only to the Christian bookstore market include devotions by brothers Stephen Kendrick and Alex Kendrick, and featurettes “Wall of Remembrance” and “Redemption For the Mitchell Home.”
The film, meant to demonstrate the power of prayer, centers on a seemingly perfect family who find needed help for their problems from an elderly widow named Miss Clara.
