MCLB Albany’s annual Independence Day celebration scheduled for Friday, June 26

MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS BASE ALBANY, Ga. -- Officials at Albany’s Marine base have announced the installation’s annual Independence Day celebration here is set for Friday, June 26, from 4-10 p.m. 

The event will be free and open to the public.

Visitors to the installation should not bring weapons of any kind, alcohol, coolers, pets (with the exception of service dogs), or dress inappropriately.  Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome.

Due to security concerns, visitors will be subject to search. All guests are encouraged to arrive early for proper processing to gain base access, and there will be free limited parking outside the main gate on Fleming Road. Handicapped parking will be available in the Human Resources parking lot adjacent to the main gate. Shuttle service will also be available for anyone with special needs. 

Food and beverage vendors will be on hand, and there will be live music, military working dog demonstrations and lots of other entertainment for both children and adults.  The evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display.
