SWGA Quail Invitational
The Southwest Georgia Chapter of Quail Forever holds an Annual Quail Hunt with invited celebrities, sponsors, bid hunters and paid hunters. Hunt at exclusive quail properties and mingle with fellow hunters at nightly hospitality events. The dates for the 2025 event are January 23-25, 2025.
Combos Marathon and Half Marathon
On the first Saturday in March Albany hosts a full and half marathon at 7am. The Albany Marathon® powered by Combos® has been listed annually as one of the top 10 Boston Marathon qualifiers. We offer a flat, spectator-friendly course. The marathon and half marathon are open to runners and walkers of all ages and skills.
Albany's Exchange Club Arts & Crafts and Car Show
Albany's Exchange Club hosts their Arts & Crafts and Car show the second weekend in April. Bring the family to enjoy craft vendors, food and fun activities. The day ends with the popular Demolition Derby!
Fridays on the Flint
Join us on the first Friday of the month at Veterans Park Amphitheatre in Downtown Albany in May, June, September, October, November and December. Enjoy live music from local and regional bands, shop local vendors, and order dinner from Albany's best food trucks! Independence Day Celebration
For the Fourth of July enjoy a family fun afternoon in Albany's Downtown filled with music, vendors, and end the night with Albany's famous fireworks show!
Pecan City Pedlars Nut Roll
Always held on the 2nd Saturday in September, brings more than 300 cyclists from across the Southeast to Albany. This event hosted by Pecan City Pedalers is a fun event for cyclists and spectators alike.
Water, Wings & Wildlife Festival
On the last Saturday in September join the Flint RiverQuarium for our annual celebration of all creatures great and small at the Water, Wings and Wildlife Festival. Crowd favorites--Butterfly Breakfast, Discover Scuba, and the Butterfly Tent--will be back, along with a variety of shows, demonstrations, and activities.
Albany State University Homecoming
In October Albany State University alumni and fans flock to the Good Life City for a weekend of gathering with old friends. From the parade to step shows, it is more than a football game for our alumni. It is a true Homecoming for the Ramily!
Boo at the Zoo
Halloween-themed fun for all ages! On the Saturday before Halloween, come out to Chehaw Park & Zoo, in costume for a chance to win prizes! Lots of fun Halloween-themed games and activities, special Halloween animal enrichment, tons of fun prizes, and candy!
Holiday Open House
Mix and mingle with local businesses and others in the community while catching all the great holiday deals the first Sunday in November.
HeART of Albany Festival
Hosted by the Albany Museum of Art enjoy a free festival full of professional chalk art, live music, and libations from around the state! This annual event is the third Saturday in November.
Santa Goes Global
Thronateeska turns into a Santa wonderland with Don Fisher's Santa Collection from all around the world. This festive exhibit opens the last Saturday in November.
Jingle Bell Jog
On the first Saturday in December, kick-off the holiday fun before the parade, with a 5K, 10K, and 1-mile fun run and Toddler Trot. Over 1,000 participants will wind their way through the tree lined streets of Albany's beautiful Rawson Circle Neighborhood.
Albany Christmas Parade
On the first Saturday in December, Downtown Albany transforms into a holiday wonderland with vendors, food, and activities for the kids. At 6:30 everyone settles into a parade of floats, bands, and characters.
