What are your plans for the summer? Join Albany Recreation & Parks for their 2021 Youth Summer Camp! This fun and creative camp is open to participants 7 to 12 years of age. Camp begins Tuesday, June 1, 2021, and comes to a close on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day! Early registration begins Saturday, April 17, 2021, at the 2021 Albany Summer Showcase from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The early registration fee is $100 per participant. General registration begins May 1, 2021. The general registration fee is $120 per participant. Campers will participate in activities covering: S.T.E.A.M. Turtle Island (Ages 5-12): Can you hear the drums? Thump, thump, thump. Each drum beat represents mother earth’s heartbeat. Ancient tribes believed earth was carried on the back of a turtle. Join us for a week of adventure where campers dip into the rich local Native American history and the culture’s deep ties to the animal kingdom with tracking, primitive technology, art creations, shelter building & more!
