SCA High School Fine Arts will present an original Sight & Sound Theatre production Ruth on March 30 - April 1, 2023. Sherwood Christian Academy is one of the first private schools in the nation to license and perform a Sight & Sound Theatres production! This fully-staged musical drama will transport you into the life of Ruth, Naomi, and Boaz with its Broadway-style music, a cast of lovable characters, and imaginative retelling of this scriptural story. This Founder’s Day Weekend, please join the ASU Foundation for the Blue and Gold Scholarship Gala on Saturday, April 1. This year's gala theme will be inspired by the southern chic' of Southwest Georgia's spring apparel - Derby style. The Gala serves as a formal event that provides an opportunity to raise scholarship funds to support ASU students. All proceeds will go toward need and merit-based scholarships. Go >

Spring Break Art Camp: Week 1

The theme for this year's Staycation Spring Break Art Camps is "Under the Sea." We’ll explore the galleries, experiment with different media in the classroom each day, and spend some time outdoors to soak up some sunshine Vitamin D. ​This art camp is for children in kindergarten through 7th grade. Campers will be placed in different age groups, and all activities will be age appropriate. Hands-on art activities, games, snacks are provided. Art camp is 9 am-4 pm, but half-day options of 9 am-noon or 1-4 pm are available. While school will be out, you may not be off work so we'll have free early drop-off at 8 am and late pick-up at 5 pm. Please pack your child’s lunch if they are coming for a full day, or you can purchase lunch with your registration. AMA members get discounts, and scholarships are available. Go >

It's official ~ the highly anticipated Drugs: Costs & Consequences traveling exhibit is now open for the first time in Georgia! Recommended for 4th graders and up, this must-see exhibit features state-of-the-art technology, a learning environment, and resources for students and families. School groups and organizations can book 7 days a week and schedule a guided tour. The exhibit is open at Thronateeska Science Center Wed-Sat from 10 am – 4 pm. Go >

BS&BF;: Lighthouse

Come join us for a fun night of wine, paint, friends, music, and fun! Brush Strokes and Buzzed Folks with Haley West will walk you through this lighthouse painting step by step. No experience or talent required – BS&BF is not a class; it’s a party! It’s a perfect date night, girls night, solo night, whatever you want night. You’ll sip your favorite beverage while relaxing and having fun with friends. Everything will be provided for you, but bring some cash for food and drinks, and wear something that you don’t mind getting paint on! What's everyone's favorite day of the week? Fri-yay, of course! We are celebrating the 5th Friday in March with a free Fun Friday program on the lawn of the Flint RiverQuarium. We'll be reading "Leprechaun vs Easter Bunny" by Todd Tarpley, making a bunny trap/leprechaun catapult, meeting a special turtle animal ambassador, and visiting the dart frog exhibit. Yoga in the Gallery

229 Yoga leads Yoga in the Gallery on the last Friday of every other month at the Albany Museum of Art. It's a great way to stretch your art experience and to end your month refreshed and renewed. Yoga in the Gallery is free for AMA members, and $10 per session for future members. Go >
